Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their eyesight, hearing, movement or confidence with computers. This page explains what we’ve done, what still needs work, and how to get help.

Last updated 1 November 2026

The short version

  • You can make the text bigger with the text size buttons at the top of every page.
  • We use a typeface designed to be easy to read for people with low vision, and large, high-contrast text.
  • You can use the whole website with a keyboard or a screen reader.
  • Every engraving is shown as large, plain text, as well as in the 3D preview.
  • You can do everything by phone instead. Call 020 7183 0355.
  • Found a problem? Tell us. We aim to reply within 2 working days.

1. Using this website

We designed this website with older readers and people with low vision in mind. You should be able to:

  • make the text bigger with the three text size buttons at the top of every page (standard, larger and largest). Your browser remembers your choice on this device.
  • read the text easily. We use the Atkinson Hyperlegible typeface, which was designed to make letters easier to tell apart for people with low vision.
  • read text at a good size. Main text is 19 pixels high at the standard size, and no text is smaller than 16 pixels.
  • see the text clearly. Our colours have strong contrast, meeting WCAG level AA or better.
  • use a keyboard to reach everything, with a clear outline showing where you are on the page. A “Skip to main content” link at the top lets you jump past the menu.
  • use a screen reader, with headings, labels and descriptions of images.
  • avoid movement. If you’ve turned on the setting to reduce motion on your device, our website respects it.
  • press buttons easily. Buttons are at least 48 pixels high, so they’re easier to tap or click.
  • check your engraving in plain text. Every engraving is shown as a large, written proof, as well as in the 3D preview.
  • watch the unboxing videos in your own time. Each pendant’s page has a short video of the pendant being taken out of its box. The videos have no sound and never play by themselves. A video only plays when you choose it in the picture gallery. It has the usual video controls, such as play and pause, and a written description of what it shows.

2. Ordering and help by phone

You never have to use the website if you’d rather not. Call us on 020 7183 0355, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We can answer questions, help with your engraving, or take your whole order over the phone.

You can also email us at hello@mediwear.co.uk.

3. The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. These are the international guidelines for making websites accessible.

Based on our own checks, we believe most of this website meets that standard. The exceptions we know about are listed in the next section.

4. What we know isn’t perfect yet

The 3D preview

On each pendant’s page, you can turn a 3D model of your pendant around to see your engraving. This is a visual feature and needs a browser that supports WebGL, which some older devices don’t. The written proof next to it shows exactly the same engraving in large, plain text, and works with screen readers. You don’t need the 3D preview to order.

Stripe’s payment pages

When you pay online, you move to a payment page run by Stripe. We don’t control how Stripe’s pages work. You can read Stripe’s accessibility information. If you have trouble paying online, call us and we’ll help.

No independent check yet

We’ve checked this website ourselves, but it hasn’t yet been checked by an independent accessibility expert. There may be problems we haven’t spotted. Please tell us if you find one.

5. Making your device easier to use

As well as our text size buttons, most web browsers let you zoom in. On a computer, hold the Ctrl key (or the Cmd key on a Mac) and press the plus key. On a phone or tablet, spread two fingers apart on the screen.

AbilityNet’s free guide, My Computer My Way, explains how to make your computer, phone or tablet easier to see, hear and use.

6. Telling us about a problem

If something on this website is hard to use, or you need information in a different way, please tell us:

It helps us if you can tell us which page you were on, what went wrong, and what device or assistive technology you were using. Don’t worry if you’re not sure. Just describe what happened.

We aim to reply within 2 working days.

7. If you’re not happy with our reply

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010, which includes making reasonable adjustments for disabled people.

If you contact us about a problem and you’re not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). It gives free advice on discrimination and equality.

If you live in Northern Ireland, contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.
